Barley Malting Variety Trial
In collaboration with Ashland's South Shore Brewery, AERC identified a strong market opportunity for malting barley production in northern Wisconsin. With funding assistance from Wisconsin's Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection, AERC will be conducting field trials of six popular malting barley varieties during the summer of 2011. The results of the trials will be made available to regional farmers with assistance from University of Wisconsin Extension.
