Welcome to AERC! We have a four-bedroom farmhouse for rent... farm house description

AERC began as a truly grassroots organization formed out of a community's desire to protect a piece of its cultural heritage from being lost to private development.  Based out of the abandoned Ashland Agricultural Research Station, AERC carries on the original mission of the Research Station to promote innovation in agriculture and enhance the ability of farmers to earn a living.

AERC's mission is to revitalize the Ashland Agricultural Research Station as a community resource by forming collaborative relationships to facilitate research, education, and business development opportunities promoting sustainable agriculture, renewable energy resources, and strong local food systems.

AERC serves the Chequamegon Bay area of Lake Superior and all of Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, and Iron Counties of Wisconsin as a resource for organic farming, sustainable agriculture, permaculture, biomass and bio-energy opportunities, community based agricultural systems, and strong local food systems.
