Dear AERC supporter,
You are invited to an AERC board mixer on January 11, at 6 pm at the meeting hall of the Agricultural and Energy Resource Center. We plan on a potato-potluck style event with a general discussion of our accomplishments and future actions. We appreciate your past support and encourage your participation again in our next chapter.
Our five-year lease is ending with Bayfield county in July of 2014, what the county board will then do with the property is still up in the air. Recently we met with the Executive Committee of the Bayfield County Board and presented our proposal for the next five years for the property. This document is available for viewing on our website, www.wisconsinaerc.org. It sets out our ideas for how best to manage the property. In general it calls for a more inclusive board, involving the county and the town of Eileen, modifying AERC management for the property, as well as a farmland preservation easement for the land. These are new subjects for AERC to consider and we could benefit for your input, ideas and expertise, along with your food. So please join us!
6 p.m. Potluck – we provide the potatoes and chili and you bring a topping to share.
7 p.m. Open discussion
Directions: 68760 State Farm Road, AERC is located on Hwy 2, 3 miles west of Ashland near the Ford Dealership. For directions see our website.
Sincerely, the AERC Board,
Jamie Tucker, Mike Bailey, Richard Ketring, and John Adams
